2. Refundable Security Deposit
A refundable security deposit of 5,000 THB is required before the vehicle is released. The deposit will be returned after the vehicle has been inspected, provided there is no new damage, missing equipment, fuel shortage, late-return charge, traffic fine, or other outstanding amount.
The security deposit is not the maximum limit of the renter’s liability.
3. Scratches and Minor Damage
The cost of any new scratch or minor damage may be deducted from the 5,000 THB security deposit. If the repair cost exceeds the deposit, the renter must pay the remaining balance.
Normal wear and tear will not be charged.
4. Broken or Missing Parts
Broken, damaged, or missing vehicle parts will be charged according to the company’s replacement-parts price list. Labour, installation, towing, and other necessary repair costs may also apply.
5. Renter’s Responsibility
The renter is fully responsible for damage, loss, claims, expenses, and third-party liability resulting from:
- Careless, negligent, or reckless driving
- Driving under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or any impairing substance
- Driving by an unauthorized or unregistered person
- Driving without a valid licence or required legal documents
- Racing, off-road driving, towing, or using the vehicle illegally
- Driving on prohibited, flooded, unsafe, or unsuitable roads
- Leaving the vehicle unlocked or failing to protect the keys
- Using the wrong fuel or ignoring warning lights
- Violating traffic laws or the terms of the rental agreement
- Providing false or incomplete information
Any insurance that may apply can become invalid if the renter violates the law or this rental agreement.
6. Accidents and Incidents
The renter must contact the rental company immediately after any accident, damage, theft, or incident. The renter must not leave the scene, admit liability, negotiate payment, or arrange repairs without authorization. A police report may be required.
Failure to report an incident promptly may make the renter fully responsible for all resulting costs.
7. Fuel Policy
The vehicle must be returned with the same fuel level as at collection. If the fuel level is lower, the renter will be charged for the missing fuel and any applicable refuelling service fee. No refund is provided for excess fuel.
8. Late Return
The rental is calculated on a 24-hour basis. A late return will be charged as one additional full rental day, unless an extension has been approved in advance.
9. Early Return
Unused rental days are non-refundable when the vehicle is returned before the agreed return date.
10. Final Inspection and Payment
The vehicle will be inspected upon return. Any outstanding amount exceeding the security deposit must be paid by the renter. If damage cannot be fully assessed immediately, the deposit may be held temporarily until the repair or replacement cost is confirmed.
